Our new high-speed cross-lapped line adds 8,000 tons of annual capacity for premium flushable and biodegradable grades.

A milestone for the production base

After an 18-month installation and validation program, Line No. 11 is now in full commercial production at our Hangzhou base. The line was commissioned on schedule and passed all first-article quality checks in the first week of operation.

The investment is part of our 2025–2027 capacity plan, which targets 90,000 tons of annual substrate capacity by the end of 2027.

What the new line delivers

Line No. 11 is a state-of-the-art cross-lapped spunlace line with online basis-weight and defect monitoring. It is purpose-built for the grades our customers are asking for most: premium flushable substrates and fully biodegradable blends.

  • +8,000 tons/year of new capacity.
  • Up to 3.2 m working width for wide-format converters.
  • Cross-lapped web structure for improved MD/CD strength balance.
  • Dedicated line for flushable and biodegradable programs to prevent cross-contamination.

Impact on lead times

Customers on flushable and biodegradable programs will see the biggest change. The dedicated line removes scheduling conflicts with mainstream grades, cutting typical lead times by 7–10 days and giving us the flexibility to hold more make-to-order slots for partners with predictable monthly volumes.

Next steps

The line is now qualifying customer-specific recipes. If you are evaluating flushable or biodegradable substrates for a new program, our technical team can reserve trial capacity on Line No. 11 and run your specification in a full production-scale trial.
